I see gaps and build solutions that fill them.

I moved to Vancouver from Nigeria as a teenager and found it dead boring, for me and for every other Nigerian I met. So I started an event company, hired students to run it, and put on nights built for the diaspora that Canadians turned up to as well. That company grew until I was planning and coordinating shows for Davido, Burna Boy and 2Face, to name a few. Turns out curating an experience for two audiences at once is the whole job of UX. I did not know the name for it yet.

While I was still at Simon Fraser University I built a delivery startup, backed by SFU Venture Connection and Coast Capital, raised money for it, and employed technical students. I had run a business and shipped a product before I ever called myself a designer. That is the difference.

After SFU I joined Fortinet as the only designer on two security products that 8M+ people use every day. I redesigned the end to end product, every screen, and it shipped publicly as FortiClient 8.0.0. Over 20 things I designed are live in the product, all of them stable. The numbers are on the work pages.
